Micro and Macro Decisions

Below this prezi explains the difference between mirco and marco decisions and what is include within both of those decisions. It also includes an example of micro and marco within an existing film, The Lovely Bones, and how the micro decisions act as jigsaw pieces to join together to create the much larger picture of the marco decision.

Micro and Marco decisions together are what shapes the narrative and plot of films. The marco decisions are the 'big ideas' of a media text and relate to a film's unique selling point. It also communicates the morals and messages that the product is supposed to communicate to audiences. On the other hand mirco decisions are all of the minor decisions that form together to make the much larger marco decision.

Based on this analysis, I will be carefully constructing my minor decisions first and foremost in order to fabricate my marco decision in my final media product. My marco decision will address a moral message to audiences in the end through my mirco choices.
