Props

Here are the props I have purchased in preparation for the filming of my trailer. I will use these props during filming, predominately as weapons and one of the conventions of my film includes weapons.

 I wanted to pick a rather unconventional weapon (the syringe) to use. From the results of my film questionnaire, I found that most people fear needles and syringes and I wanted to interoperate this into my trailer as not many films use them as weapons, despite most people actually fearing them, they would be an ideal weapon to use.

I am yet to purchase a fake gun but it shouldn't be too difficult to find as it's a common prop that people use for things such as costumes and what not.

Finally I purchased fake blood to apply it to characters faces, clothes and body as they progress throughout the narrative of the trailer.

In order to select my props, I really had to think about and consider the conventions, the outline of my plot and progression of my trailer. I had to also think about what would scare the audience and needles (evident from my questionnaire results) clearly stated that my audience most feared needles as weapons, as they could harbour liquids such as poison and what not.
